Sneak peek from one of our most recent engagement shoots! This is one of the most underrated trails in Austin. It’s hard to believe this is less than 30 feet from Lamar Blvd.
I met Rick 5 years ago when we worked together on an independent film over an extra hot Austin summer. He is an extremely talented DP (Director of Photography) and has an incredible talent at painting light perfectly across a movie set. Although he lives in LA now – work brings him back to Austin regularly and it’s always nice to catch up with him when I get the chance. Obviously, we were thrilled when Rick and Alexis asked us to shoot their wedding at Brazos Hall! Since they are Austin regulars they already had tons of ideas for engagement picture locations around town. In fact, I’m pretty sure we set a record for number of locations in a single shoot! We started at Castle Hill, moved down to Town Lake, then over to South Congress, and made it to the brand new boardwalk off Riverside just in time to catch the sunset. We had a ton of fun exploring Austin together during these downtown Austin engagements! Congratulations Rick and Alexis!
Thank you Austin! We are extremely excited to announce that we have been named The Best of Weddings by the Knot for 2015! We are honored and humbled to have worked with truly great clients this past year ~ Here’s to a 2015 full of inspired collaborations and creative energy!
The best bluebonnet field in Austin, TX! After Alejandra & Corey told us they wanted a fun shoot in the bluebonnets for their engagement pictures – the search for the perfect location began. We drove over 300 miles searching for the best spots and we were blown away when we saw this field. Thanks to late fall rain we are having a great year for wildflowers. We are excited to post this sneak preview from the shoot! Congratulations Alejandra & Corey!
Christine and Craig’s engagement session in downtown Austin! They were amazing to work with and we all collaborated on location ideas for this shoot. We like to explore the roads less traveled and always have spots in mind that we would love to photograph. After meeting and getting a good sense of their ideas about the photography, we suggested this location by the train tracks. We really feel it’s important that the couple have input in the creative process and that the locations compliment their personalities. They were as excited as we were about shooting here! After this spot, we wrapped things up over at Butler Park and the Long Center for some beautiful sunset shots of the Austin skyline.
